陛下之62號潛艇（德語：SM U 62[註 1]）是德意志帝國海軍建造的一艘潛艇或稱U艇。它由不萊梅的威悉船廠承建，於1916年8月2日下水，至同年12月30日交付使用（英語：Ship commissioning）。U-62號是在第一次世界大戰期間服役的329艘德國潛艇之一，曾參加過大西洋潛艇戰。在其九次巡邏中，共擊沉45艘協約國或中立國商船，容積總噸達109117噸。戰後，U-62號於1918年11月22日被引渡至英國正式投降，並於1919年至1920年間在博內斯（英語：Bo'ness）拆解報廢。

設計

作為戰時動員型潛艇（日語：Ms型潜水艦）（Mobilmachungsplan）的組成部分，U-60至U-62號批次的技術參數與早前同廠生產的U-57至U-59號大致相同，但在推進力、航速和續航里程上有顯著提高。[5]U-62號的全長為67米；舷寬6.32米，當中的耐壓殼體（英語：Pressure hull）寬為4.05米；有3.74米的吃水深度。艇只的水上排水量為768噸，水下為956噸。[6]

U-62號搭載有可在水上使用的兩台猛獅六缸四衝程柴油發動機，總功率為2,400匹公制馬力（1,765千瓦特）；以及可在水下使用的西門子-舒克特（英語：Siemens-Schuckert）雙電動發電機，總功率為1,200匹公制馬力（883千瓦特）。這些發動機用以驅動雙軸、每根軸各一個的直徑1.6米長螺旋槳，從而使艇只在水上的最高速度達16.5節（30.6公里每小時），在水下的最高航速為每小時8.4節（15.6公里每小時）。艇只可以8節（15公里每小時）的速度在水上巡航11,400海里（21,100公里），或以5節（9.3公里每小時）的速度在水下巡航49海里（91公里）。它的潛航深度為50米。[5]

U-62號裝備了四具直徑為500毫米的魚雷發射管，其中艏、艉各兩具，並可攜帶合共七枚魚雷；作為輔助武器的甲板炮（英語：Deck gun）則是一門105毫米45倍徑速射炮（英語：10.5 cm SK L/45 naval gun）。其標準船員編制為4名軍官及32名水兵。[5]

歷史

U-62號是由德意志帝國海軍於1914年10月6日向不萊梅的威悉船廠訂購。它自1915年6月22日開始鋪設龍骨，1916年8月2日下水，至同年12月30日在首任艇長、海軍上尉恩斯特·哈斯哈根的指揮下正式交付使用（英語：Ship commissioning），[2]並被編入第一潛艇區艦隊駐黑爾戈蘭島的第二半區艦隊。[7]除哈斯哈根外，奧托·維巴爾克上尉（1917年12月25日－1918年3月9日）也曾擔任過U-62號艇長。[3]

第一次世界大戰期間，U-62號在北海和北大西洋東部進行過九次巡邏，共擊沉容積總噸達109117噸的45艘協約國或中立國商船、2艘總計排水量為10767噸的軍艦以及1艘12927總噸的輔助軍艦。[8]其中在1917年3月8日，U-62號於法斯耐特岩西南約45海里（83公里）處擊沉了挪威貨輪斯托斯塔德號（英語：SS Storstad），後者曾因撞擊並導致遠洋客輪愛爾蘭皇后號（英語：RMS Empress of Ireland）沉沒，造成現代歷史上和平時期最致命的海難之一而聞名。[9][10]

1917年4月30日，排水量為1250噸、擔任Q船用途的英國單桅縱帆船鬱金香號（Tulip）被U-62號發射的魚雷擊中後，在愛爾蘭西南部沉沒，造成102名船員罹難。[11]Q船指揮官諾爾曼·麥克雷·路易斯則被俘獲，戰後於1929年甚至與U-62號的時任艇長恩斯特·哈斯哈根一同在英國發表演說。[12]1918年8月7日，法國海軍裝甲巡洋艦迪珀蒂-圖阿爾號（英語：French cruiser Dupetit-Thouars）在護送一艘由24艘船組成的護航船隊從紐約歸航時，在布雷斯特以西約400海里（740公里）處被U-62號擊中。隨着夜幕降臨，在20:51分，一枚魚雷擊中了巡洋艦左舷前艦橋下方，10秒後又有另一枚擊中了後艦橋下方。迪珀蒂-圖阿爾號於50分鐘後傾覆沉沒，全艦官兵僅13人被六艘美國海軍驅逐艦救起。[13]

被U-62號擊沉的最大型船舶是容積為12927總噸的英國輔助巡洋艦奧拉馬號（英語：RMS Orama (1911)），當時它正護送一支護航船隊從達卡前往本國水域，並得到了數艘美國海軍驅逐艦的加入。[14]1917年10月19日上午，U-62號在比斯開灣的韋桑島以西約160海里（300公里）處發現了船隊，並率先於09:00朝美國貨輪J·L·盧肯巴赫號（英語：SS Saale）（前身為德國籍的薩勒號）開火，造成船上的貨物起火燃燒。美軍驅逐艦聶高信號隨即前來驅逐U艇並協助救火。[15]大約9小時後，即17:55，U-62號又瞄準了奧拉馬號，並以魚雷命中其第三貨艙。美軍驅逐艦康寧漢號試圖撞擊德國U艇，但未能成功。奧拉馬號進水嚴重而沉沒，船員們在慌亂中棄船，共造成5人罹難。[16]J·L·盧肯巴赫號則能夠於1917年10月21日抵達勒阿弗爾；船上共有9人受傷，但無人死亡。[17]

U-62號在戰爭中倖存了下來，沒有被擊沉。戰後，根據對德停戰協議的要求，該艇於1918年11月22日移交英國，並在哈維奇正式向協約國投降。從1919年至1920年間，U-62號最終在博內斯（英語：Bo'ness）拆解報廢。[18]
