2019年1月27日上午，两颗炸弹在菲律宾霍洛天主教加爾默耳山聖母主教座堂（英语：Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cathedral, Jolo）爆炸，造成18至20人死亡，82至111人受伤。[1][5][6]

爆炸在邦薩摩洛自治區的公投（英语：2019 Bangsamoro Autonomous Region creation plebiscite）一周之后发生。该区域向来是恐怖组织伊斯兰国的附属组织——阿布沙耶夫的一个据点。[7]爆炸发生地霍洛位于邦薩摩洛自治區的苏禄省，而该省是在此次公投中唯一一个投了反对票的地区（54.3%对45.7%）。[8]
