阿爾伯特·愛因斯坦獎

阿爾伯特·愛因斯坦獎（英語：Albert Einstein Award）是一個理論物理學獎項，它旨在獎賞自然科學領域的傑出成就，由劉易斯和羅莎·斯特勞斯紀念基金贊助。它被設立以紀念阿爾伯特·愛因斯坦的70歲生日，並於1951年首次頒獎。獎勵包括由雕塑家吉爾羅伊·羅伯茨設計的金質獎章^[1]和15,000美元的獎金。^[2] 獎金數目後來減少到5 000美元。獲獎者由普林斯頓高等研究院的評選委員會選出（最初包括愛因斯坦，奧本海默。馮·諾伊曼和外爾^[3]）^[4] 路易斯·L·施特勞斯曾擔任研究院的理事。^[5]

阿爾伯特·愛因斯坦獎有時被錯誤地稱為阿爾伯特·愛因斯坦獎章，因為它的獎勵包含一枚金質獎章。它被紐約時報的稱為"在美國同類獎項中的最高獎"。^[6] 有些人認為它"等價於諾貝爾獎"。
