1N400x二極管
1N400x二極管(又稱1N4001或1N4000[註 1]二極管)是型號為1N4001至1N4007的一系列通用硅二極管,其額定電流為1 A,反向耐壓範圍在50 V(1N4001)至1000 V(1N4007)之間,採用通孔插裝式DO-41封裝。[4][5]而1N540x二極管和1N400x相似,但額定電流提升至3 A,適合大功率的電器設備使用,封裝採用尺寸更大的DO-201AD加強散熱。[6][7]除了最常用的兩者外,也有公司生產額定電流更高[8]或者採用SMA和MELF等表面安裝技術(SMT)封裝[9][10]的其他替代型號,詳見下表。
自1963年由摩托羅拉推出以來[11],1N400x系列二極管是電子工業中特別常用的二極管型號[12][13],使用十分廣泛,常在各類電器的交流電源適配器中用作整流器。[14]
歷史
1N400x系列二極管最初於1963年由摩托羅拉半導體產品部門推出,並在JEDEC進行了型號登記(Type Registration),記錄中的產品類型為「用於工業或軍事應用的電源硅整流器」。[11]1965年的摩托羅拉《半導體數據手冊》出現了該型號,並取代了較舊的1N2609至1N2617二極管。[2]
1968年,1N540x系列二極管上市,發售公告刊登在同年的《電子設計新聞》雜誌(現EDN雜誌)。同時上市的還有已不常用的,額定電流為1.5 A的1N5391系列。[15]
簡介
該系列二極管常在各類電器的交流電源適配器中用作整流器,將交流電轉換為直流電(見下圖)[14],也用於逆變器等其他電源轉換器,或者作為防止感性負載燒毀電路的續流二極管。[4]但該系列二極管的開關速度極低,工作頻率超過15 kHz(方波)時性能就會無法令人接受[16]

,而一些數據手冊中甚至根本沒有導通時間和關斷時間的任何信息[17],不適合用在開關類電路。作為一種功率二極管,其較高的反向漏電流和結電容也不適合小信號應用。[18]

Earlier I mentioned that 1N4004's are rectifiers. They don't have any specfications in their datasheet for turn-on or turn-off characteristics.
