安大略省律政廳長[1]（英語：Attorney General of Ontario，法語：Procureur général de l'Ontario）是安大略省官方（以安大略省為權利主體的国王陛下）以及安大略省政府的首席法律顧問。律政廳長是安大略省內閣的高級成員，負責監管安大略省律政廳（Ministry of the Attorney General of Ontario）——負責監察安大略省司法體系的部門。律政廳長人選須自省議會的民選議員中選出，由安大略省省督在諮詢安大略省省長後正式委任。

律政廳的目標是提供一個公平和易於接觸的司法系統，以反映其在政府和全省服務的不同社區的需求。該廳代表加拿大最大的司法系統，也是北美最大的司法系統之一。它努力在全省以公平、易於負擔且方便的方式管理司法系統。

唐尼（Doug Downey）於2019年6月20日被任命為安大略省律政廳長，接替卡羅琳·梅龍尼（Caroline Mulroney）。

安大略省另有安大略省法務廳（Ministry of the Solicitor General of Ontario），前稱「安大略省社群安全及懲教廳」（Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services of Ontario），由安大略省法務廳長（Solicitor General of Ontario）負責，與安大略省律政廳為不同部門。

權限

安大略省律政廳長有權親自在法庭上代表安大略省政府，但這項任務實際上一般都會託付予檢控官（crown attorney），或在民事案件中託付予官方律師（crown counsel）。曾任安大略省律政廳長的麥馬崔（Roy McMurtry）和施葛（Ian Scott）在進入政界之前都是著名的法庭律師，在加拿大最高法院的憲法上訴中代表安大略省。[2]（現今安大略省官方檢控辦事處總部所在的麥馬崔—施葛大廈［McMurtry-Scott Building］即以他們二位命名。）

職責

安大略省律政廳提供及管理廣泛的司法服務，包括：

  1. 執行約115部法規的規定；
  2. 在安大略省提出刑事檢控；
  3. 向所有政府部門和許多機構、委員會和法庭提供法律諮詢並代表他們參與訴訟；
  4. 就所有法例及規例的訂立提供諮詢和起草；
  5. 協調和管理整個安大略省的法院服務。

安大略省官方檢控辦事處（Crown Attorney's Office）、公眾監護人及受託人辦事處（Office of the Public Guardian and Trustee）、兒童律師辦事處（Office of the Children's Lawyer，前稱「官方監護人」）和特別調查組（Special Investigations Unit，簡稱SIU）都屬於該部的職責範圍。 該部還資助由獨立委員會管理的安大略法律援助（Legal Aid Ontario）。

部門

2008年，獨立監察警方專員辦公室（Office of the Independent Police Review Director，簡稱OIPRD）在律政廳長的授權下成立，作為一個公民機構，由《公開研訊法令》（Public Inquiries Act）授權調查有關安大略省各市警隊及安大略省省警（Ontario Provincial Police）的投訴的權力。[3][4][5]

2013年，在前最高法院法官Frank Iacobucci發布關於原住民與安大略省司法系統之間關係的報告後，[6]安省律政廳設立了負責原住民問題的副廳長（deputy attorney general）職位。[7][4]
