BBC Sounds，是BBC提供的封閉串流媒體平台，提供BBC的廣播轉播、音訊點播和播客節目，並且可供下載。 [4]

歷史
BBC Sounds應用程式的初始測試版本於2018年6月推出， [5]此時測試版本和iPlayer Radio應用程式都可以用來收聽BBC廣播。2018年10月，BBC Sounds網站取代了iPlayer Radio面向英國使用者的服務。[6]2019年9月，iPlayer Radio應用程式最終在英國停止服務。2020年9月22日起，BBC Sounds向國際使用者開放，並於10月末取代iPlayer Radio。[7][8] 從此，iPlayer Radio提供的服務徹底被BBC Sounds取代。2020年3月智慧型電視端（包括Amazon Fire TV ）應用程式發布。 [9]
內容
根據BBC Sounds官方，它是BBC專門用於存放原始音訊節目資料的地方，而不只是提供即時轉播，這點與iPlayer Radio不同。
BBC還宣布計劃在BBC Sounds平台中提供第三方的播客節目，但沒有明確第三方內容是否可供下載。 [10]
可用性
與BBC電視節目不同，BBC Sounds的大部分節目在全球可用，且不需要英國電視授權。[11]在英國國外不可用的節目主要有體育報導、音樂，尤其是古典音樂和音樂會直播。[12][13]出於著作權限制，BBC Sounds不允許非英國使用者下載廣播節目，但允許下載大部分播客。[14] 目前，BBC Sounds應用程式在中國、俄羅斯、印度、越南不可用。

You can download most podcasts on the BBC Sounds app or from the BBC Sounds website from outside of the UK... You can't download radio programmes on the BBC Sounds app from outside the UK.
