羅賓·詹姆斯·威爾遜（Robin James Wilson，1943年12月5日—），是英國公開大學數學系榮譽教授, 曾任純粹數學系系主任[1]。他也是牛津大學彭布羅克學院的講師[2]和截至2006年 (2006-Missing required parameter 1=month!)，倫敦格雷沙姆學院幾何學教授、格雷沙姆學院訪問教授[3]。有時他也會在科羅拉多學院客座教學。

1999年1月至2003年9月，羅賓·威爾遜是歐洲數學學會雜誌的首席編輯[4]。

他是英國前任首相哈羅德·威爾遜之子，已婚並育有兩女[5]。

教育經歷

數學領域

威爾遜的學術興趣主要是圖論方面，尤其是圖著色問題，例如四色問題，和圖的代數性質。

他也研究數學史，特別是英國數學和17世紀和1860年到1940年之間的數學發展，還有圖論和組合數學的歷史。

威爾遜由於1977年與著名馬扎爾人數學家保羅·埃爾德什的一篇合作完成的論文[6]，他的埃爾德什數為1。

2008年8月他發表了一項關於愛麗絲夢遊仙境和愛麗絲鏡中奇遇的作者路易斯·卡羅的數學工作的研究 — 路易斯·卡羅在數字樂園: 他的奇幻數學邏輯生活。[7]
