四兄弟合唱团(英语:The Brothers Four)是一支美国民谣乐队, 1957年在美国华盛顿州西雅图市创建,成名作是他们1960年的 "Greenfields"。
历史
Bob Flick, John Paine, Mike Kirkland, 和 Dick Foley 在华盛顿大学时是 派伽马德尔塔兄弟会的成员,他们1956年在兄弟会相识 。他们在1958年进行的第一次专业演出缘起于一次由River兄弟会发起的恶作剧,他们安排人假装成西雅图殖民地俱乐部的人给他们打电话,并邀请他们前去举办现场演唱会。 尽管俱乐部并不知道此事,四人也并没有受到热烈欢迎,他们还是被允许唱了几首歌,后来还被俱乐部正式雇佣。Flick 回忆道:“当时我们大部分时候都是被用啤酒付的薪水。”

他们早年的其他成就还有:
- 他们为John Wayne 的电影 The Alamo 创作的第四首单曲 "The Green Leaves of Summer," 这首曲子获得了 1961年的奥斯卡奖( Academy Awards);
- 他们的第三张专辑BMOC/Best Music On/Off Campus,进入了畅销榜前十名;

英国摇滚流行潮 和 以 鲍勃·迪伦 为例的民谣摇滚 统治级歌手终结了四兄弟乐队的早期胜利,但是他们并没有放弃表演和录制,在美国的酒店圈子(American hotel circuit)和日本发展良好。
1968年他们和 Jerry Dennon 一起在 俄勒冈州锡赛德市 (KSWB)创办了一个无线电台,后来在1972年卖给了一个来自蒙大拿的团体并最终被一个大型电台企业兼并。
他们曾经试图通过翻唱迪伦的Mr. Tambourine Man来复出却因为版权问题而无法出版,而 The Byrds 最终窃取了他们的创意,通过翻唱预告版本的歌曲成功复出。[2]
Mike Kirkland 在1969年退出了团队,他的位置由另一位华盛顿大学的校友 Mark Pearson 代替。1971年,Pearson 离开了, Bob Haworth代替了他。Bob待到了1985年,直到Pearson重新加入团队。Dick Foley 在1990 离开了团队,Terry Lauber 则取代了他的位置。
尽管发生了诸多变故和人员调整,这个六十多年的老乐团仍旧在美国活跃着。
