背景

他们多数生活在伊斯坦布尔和其他大城市(特别是东面和南面边境)。

土耳其的阿拉伯人多数是穆斯林，多来自叙利亚和伊拉克。他们多是在11世纪随乌古斯人进入安纳托利亚的贝都因人，他们很多人在叙利亚也有亲戚，特别是在拉卡市。土耳其的阿拉伯社群很好地融入了土耳其人。

他们多属逊尼派沙斐仪派，有300000-350000人属阿拉维派信徒，18000人是阿拉伯基督徒。

人口

根据1965年人口统计，365,340人以阿拉伯语为第一语言，大约1%人口只讲阿拉伯语。

在1995年估计500000人以阿拉伯语为母语，在2006年, 土耳其人口中0.7%人是阿拉伯人。
