2017年3月22日下午約2點40分，英國國會大樓外發生「恐怖襲擊」。一男子首先在附近的西敏橋上用汽車衝撞行人，造成大量傷亡，再持刀攻擊國會大樓警衛。疑犯被當場擊斃。事件造成6人死亡，約50人傷。

案發經過

在下午2時40分左右，一輛汽車在西敏橋上衝撞多達十位行人。其後，一名穿着黑色衣服的男子在Old Palace Yard用刀攻擊警察。在警方警告無效後，兩名便衣警員向他開了3至4槍。空中救護員隨後到達，嘗試為兇手進行急救。[1][2]案發後，大部分下議院議員留在會議廳避難作預防措施，其他國會工作人員也被告知要留在辦公室。這事件已被倫敦警務處視為恐怖襲擊，其後所有議員及工作人員到達西敏寺暫避。截至下午4時23分，事件已造成一名女性受害者死亡。[3]

死傷

事件最終共造成包括嫌犯在內的6人死亡，至少50人受傷[4]。其中，2位分屬英國與美國籍的平民遭到車輛撞擊，一人當場死亡，另一人因重傷於醫院搶救無效死亡。而48歲的議會及外交保衛隊（英語：Parliamentary and Diplomatic Protection）當值指揮官基斯·帕爾瑪（Keith Palmer）則因遭到歹徒持刀刺殺失血過多而去世[5][6][7]。另外，12人傷勢嚴重，其中有人傷勢據稱「十分危急」[8]，另有八人傷勢較輕，在襲擊現場得到救治。

受傷民眾被分別送往橫跨西敏橋的蘭貝斯聖湯瑪士醫院、國王大學醫院（英語：King's College Hospital）創傷急救中心、聖瑪麗醫院、皇家倫敦醫院和車路士和西敏醫院（英語：Chelsea and Westminster Hospital）[6][9]。

在泰晤士河中獲救的羅馬尼亞籍女遊客，因傷勢過重，4月6日撤除生命保障系統後於醫院離世，年僅31歲。她的羅馬尼亞男友原計劃在倫敦旅行時向她求婚，卻在襲擊中受傷[10][11]。一群來自法國布列塔尼孔卡爾諾的15-16歲學生亦在傷者之列[6][12]。其他傷者包括剛參加表彰儀式返回的三名警察、兩名羅馬尼亞公民和四名邊山大學學生[6][9]。

襲擊者

倫敦警務處確認行兇者為52歲英國人哈立德·馬蘇德（Khalid Masood）[22]，原名阿德里安·艾爾姆斯·阿焦（Adrian Elms Ajao）[23][24][25]。2009年，他在獄中皈依伊斯蘭教，更名為哈立德·馬蘇德，然而警方稱他還有多個化名，比如哈立德·楚德瑞（Khalid Choudry）[23][26]。馬蘇德生於肯特郡，偵查人員相信他近期住在西米德蘭茲郡[27]。據報道，馬蘇德曾於2005年到2009年間在沙特阿拉伯擔任英語教師或導師，後來回到英國，供職於盧頓的英語外教（英語：TEFL）學院[28]。

有報道指，襲擊前馬蘇德曾在薩塞克斯郡布萊頓的普雷斯頓公園酒店（Preston Park Hotel）過夜，但經理表示報道「開玩笑」[33]。之前在2000年，當時那裏屬東薩塞克斯郡萊伊管轄，當地北亞姆（英語：Northiam）村的一位居民持刀襲擊公屋居民被判入獄兩年。2003年獲釋後，他又在薩塞克斯持刀傷人，又被判入獄六個月[34][35]。

官方懷疑襲擊與伊斯蘭極端主義有關[36]，然而內政大臣盧綺婷更懷疑馬蘇德是否隸屬於伊斯蘭國[37]。3月23日，伊斯蘭國非官方機構阿馬克新聞社宣傳襲擊者「是伊斯蘭國的戰士，發動行動是回應多國聯軍襲擊平民[38]。」分析人員監測組織網站，表示該聲明似乎是為了掩飾伊斯蘭國在伊拉克和敘利亞的損失，並補充道，由於缺乏襲擊者的生平信息和襲擊事件的細節，伊斯蘭國並未直接參與事件[39]。
