背景，藝術設計以及專輯標題

雖然連恩·豪利特通常是作曲家，Maxim（英語：Maxim (musician)）參與了兩首歌曲的創作，但這是基思·弗林特首次參與創作的專輯。《The Fat of the Land》專輯封面上是一隻月亮蟹[9]和一個新標誌，刪除了「The」並添加了一隻螞蟻的輪廓。專輯名稱來自古老的英語短語「living off the fat of the land」，意思是生活富足或富有。[10]
