美洲鴿屬（學名：Patagioenas），也稱新大陸鴿屬，是鴿形目鳩鴿科下的一個屬。[2]該屬物種均分佈於美洲，目前下屬17個物種。[2]
分類學與歷史
本屬由德國鳥類學家路德維希·賴興巴赫首次於1853年建立，其模式種則被指定為瑞典鳥類學家卡爾·林奈於1758年描述的白頂鴿。[1][3]其屬名Patagioenas是由古希臘語的patageō（意為「喋喋不休」）及oinas（意為「鴿子」）組成。[4]
美洲鴿屬與鴿屬有着亦分亦合的關係，二者是否為不同的屬長期存在爭議，但最終其差異被證實，並被拆分為兩個屬。[5][6]現與這個屬關係最為接近的是已經絕滅的旅鴿。[7]
