2016年3月13日，三名槍手在科特迪瓦的大巴薩姆的一處海灘度假村發動襲擊。至少造成18人死亡33人受傷。[2][3][4]

法新社稱，三名全副武裝的襲擊者所襲擊的旅館為法國僑民所有。[5][6]官方稱，共有15名遊客和3名特種部隊成員在襲擊中遇難。[7]
根據目擊者描述，襲擊者身着便裝，頭戴巴拉克拉瓦頭套，裝備了AK-47突擊步槍和手榴彈。[3] 襲擊者在到達La Paillote旅館後與警察交火。當地居民和遊客被疏散至附近被臨時關閉的旅館。[8]
美聯社從科特迪瓦官員方面獲悉，6名襲擊者被擊斃。[9][10] 據傳聞稱，襲擊者曾大喊「安拉胡阿克巴」。[1] 襲擊發生時，一個美國大使代表團正在大巴薩姆逗留。但駐阿比讓的美國大使館發布聲明稱，沒有證據顯示恐怖分子目標是美國公民，他們目前也沒有接到美國公民傷亡的報告。[11][12]
伊斯蘭馬格里布基地組織(AQIM)和Al-Mourabitoun宣布對這起襲擊負責。[13] 3月17日，AQIM組織公布了襲擊者名單：來自Al-Mourabitoun組織的 Hamza al-Fulani 和來自「沙漠之國」的 Abu Adam al-Ansari Abderrahmane al-Fulani 。[14]

法國: 法國總統弗朗索瓦·奧朗德聲明稱他對大巴薩姆海灘上發生的這起致使大量人員（包括一名法國人和多名法國特種部隊成員）死亡的事故表示強烈譴責。[17] 法方將對科特迪瓦政府追緝兇手的行動提供後勤和情報支援。[18]
