个人生活

爱克谢出生于剑桥,在北伦敦长大,是剑桥大学出版社的出版人科林‧爱克谢和历史教师莉兹‧爱克谢所生四子中的老三。[1][2]爱克谢已婚,育有四子,现居伦敦。[3]

职业生涯

1974年至1978年,爱克谢担任《泰晤士报文学副刊儿童读物编辑。[4]

1978年,爱克谢在企鹅出版集团旗下的儿童图书出版社海雀图书(Puffin Books)担任非小说和绘本编辑。1980年,她转至儿童图书出版社汉米许·汉米尔顿(Hamish Hamilton)担任小说编辑,到了1984年,爱克谢再次成为自由撰稿书评家[4][5]
