NB-IoT
NB-IoT是窄频物联网（Narrowband Internet of Things）的简称，是由3GPP订定的LPWAN无线电标准，为了让行动设备及服务的范围可以更远[1][2]。此标准在2016年6月的3GPP Release 13定版（LTE Advanced Pro）[3]。其他的3GPP物联网技术包括有eMTC（增强型机器类通信）及EC-GSM-IoT[4]。
NB-IoT特别著重在室内的覆盖率、低成本、长电池寿命以及高连接密度。NB-IoT使用的是长期演进技术标准的一部份，不过限制频宽在200kHz的单一窄频。NB-IoT使用OFDM调变来处理下行通讯，用SC-FDMA来处理上行通讯[5][6][7][8][9]
全球行动供应商协会在2019年3月宣布，已有超过100家运营商布署了NB-IoT或LTE-M网路[10]。
布署
- 在69个国家的149个运营商投资NB-IoT或LTE-M的网路技术
- 这些运营商中，有53个国家的104个运营商至少布署了NB-IoT或LTE-M网路，其中有19个国家的20个运营商布署NB-IoT以及LTE-M网路[11]。
设备及模组
和3GPP相容的LPWAN设备生态系统仍在继续成长。全球行动供应商协会在2019年4月识别了210个支援Cat-NB1/NB2或Cat-M1的设备，是GAMBoD资料库在2018年3月的二倍以上。而且其中，有156个模组支援Cat-NB1、NB2及Cat-M1（包括已知的变体）、100个模组支援Cat-M1 （包括已知的变体），103个模组支援Cat-NB1或NB2（包括已知的变体）[11]。
为了将NB-IoT整合到IoT发展的创客板块中，荷兰的IoT硬体及软体公司SODAQ，在Kickstarter众筹了NB-IoT Shield开发板[12]。他们希望和模组制造商u-blox合作，开发整合NB-IoT及LTE-M的创客电路板[13]。
