Apple Intelligence是苹果公司开发中的人工智慧平台[2]，于2024年6月10日在WWDC上宣布。它依靠设备端和伺服器处理的协同组合，作为iOS 18、iPadOS 18和macOS Sequoia作业系统的整合，这些系统与Apple Intelligence一起发布，预计将于2024年秋季在美国境内地区测试、2025年开放更多国家与地区[3]。
由于该公司与OpenAI公司合作，Apple Intelligence整合了ChatGPT，当遇到Siri认为ChatGPT可以给予用户更好的答案时，它会向用户询问是否使用ChatGPT来处理复杂的用户请求[4]。
开发
背景
2015年10月，苹果公司收购了设备端人工智慧建模公司Perceptio[5]。收购后，该公司致力于确保其人工智慧业务保持秘密；根据加州大学柏克莱分校教授Trevor Darrell的说法，苹果公司的保密性让研究生望而却步[6]。
为Apple Intelligence提供支援的私有云运算在设计时就充分考虑了用户隐私和端对端加密[7]。
争议
使用未经授权的内容训练AI
《连线》的报告揭露：EleutherAI公司旗下的“the Pile”，在未经内容创作者明确许可的情况下使用了 YouTube 视频的字幕，还从维基百科、英国议会以及电子邮件收集数据。NVIDIA、Salesforce 和 Apple 等公司将“the Pile”用于自己的人工智能培训项目。
苹果公司回应称：Apple使用Pile的数据用于开发其开源OpenELM模型，苹果公司没有计划将OpenELM用于Apple Intelligence。同时，苹果强调了其人工智能项目的数据采购承诺：该公司以大力投资和以合乎道德的方式获取数据而闻名，包括向出版商支付数百万美元以及从照片库公司获得图像许可。[8][9]
隐私泄漏风险
因对OpenAI政策的不信任，特斯拉首席执行官马斯克表示，如果OpenAI集成到Apple Intelligence中，他将禁止在其公司使用苹果设备。苹果公司和OpenAI，并没有对此评价做出回应[10]。
支援装置
运行Apple Intelligence的装置至少需要搭载8GB容量的记忆体，且需具备一定算力的NPU[3]。
