弗里曼·威尔斯·克罗夫茨（英语：Freeman Wills Crofts，1879年6月1日—1957年4月11日）是爱尔兰的一名推理作家，他于1920年推出的《桶子》，同年谋杀天后阿加莎·克里斯蒂推出《史岱尔庄谋杀案》，两人因此被称为推理小说黄金时期的推手。
生平简介
弗里曼·威尔斯·克罗夫茨出生于爱尔兰的一个小农场，父亲是随军的外科医生，在克劳夫兹出世前就已经逝世，母亲后来与一位牧师再婚。克劳夫兹17岁开始接触铁路工程，1900年成为了地区的工程师，克劳夫兹的工程师身份一直至1929年。克劳夫兹的写作生涯始于1919年，他因为大病被逼放下铁路工程的工作，这段时期写了他的第一本小说，他于1920年发表了《桶子》，《桶子》出版后旋即获得空前畅销，此后几乎每年克劳夫兹都写一本小说，另加一些短篇小说和戏剧。
