池塘月光
《池塘－月光》（也被称为《池塘－月出》[1][2]）是一幅由爱德华·史泰钦创作的画意摄影主义摄影像片作品。这张照片于1904年在纽约马马罗内克拍摄，位于他的朋友艺术评论家查尔斯·卡芬家附近。 这张照片呈现出一片池塘对面的森林，月亮的一部分在树缝中露出地平线。 池塘－月光》是一幅早期的摄影作品，透过手工涂抹光敏树胶制成，使最终的印刷品呈现出不只一种颜色。被认为是彩色摄影的先驱。
《池塘－月光》当前已知仅存三件，由于手工层叠的树胶，每一件都是独一无二的。其中一件是史泰肯送给现代艺术博物馆的，博物馆将收藏于《月出，纽约马马罗内克》底下。[3][4]第二件在阿尔弗雷德·斯蒂格利茨的私人收藏中，[1][5]于1933年捐赠给了大都会艺术博物馆。这件作品曾在史蒂格利茨的摄影杂志《相机工作》第14期（1906年）中重现。[6]
大都会艺术博物馆在购买吉尔曼纸业公司收藏时获得了一件重复品，并决定将其拍卖。[7]2006年2月，这张照片的印刷品以290万美元的价格出售，当时是拍卖会上为照片支付的最高价格。成为美国摄影史上摄影作品拍卖的最高价之一。[8][9]照片由画廊主人彼得·麦吉尔代表私人买家购买。这次拍卖会在BBC纪录片《摄影的天才》第6部呈现。 印刷品的非凡售价在一定程度上归因于其独特的特性和稀有性。[10]
