早期生活
鍾斯是演員羅恩·西法斯·瓊斯(Ron Cephas Jones)[4]和英國爵士歌手基姆·萊斯利(Kim Lesley)的女兒。她曾就讀於紐約曼哈頓演藝學院 (Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts)和伯克利音樂學院[5]，並在2011年於社群劇場 (Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre)畢業.。[6]直到2015年，她都在布鲁克林的Midwood生活。[1]
