安东尼·卡尔德利斯1971年11月29日生于雅典。他在密歇根大学取得文学学士（1994年）与哲学博士学位（2001年），之后到俄亥俄大学任教，2001-2006年为助理教授，2006-2007年为副教授，2007年后为教授，2015年后担任古典系系主任，2022年到芝加哥大学工作。
