English: Rare low res photo of the sole Russia - Navy Yak-141 (NATO Codename: Freestyle) hovering out of ground effect at the 1992 Farnborough Airshow, with landing gear down. Note the open inlet door for the forward Lift Engine (and open lower doors) and the down-turned Engine nozzle at rear. (The aircraft had been on static display at Farnborough and the flying display surprised us.) This was the first time this aircraft type had been seen in the West.
