This paleontological restoration is inaccurate, or its accuracy is disputed.
Reason: Mixes features of different glyptodonts together. The shell is that of Panochthus, but the head morphology does not match the proportion of the skull of Panochthus, and the tail of real Panochthus has a long caudal tube similar to that of Doedicurus (see [1]), while this restoration has a tail with caudal rings similar to Glyptodon or Glyptotherium, thus it is not an accurate restoration of any of real glyptodont.
